I don’t use Superior Drummer but use BFD3. What am I missing? Isn’t the whole point of the multi-channel setup so that all the tracks can be routed to one send? I haven’t used group tracks before so is this the time to do so? Do I send all of the drums and mics to 1 drum group track and then send from there, or should it work the way I originally intended? I would have to set up a separate send from each of the other tracks to the verb and balance them all. For instance, I set up an FX track with Valhalla Room Verb on it, link to that from the midi track and only the kick is processed. If I set up inserts or sends on the midi channel (with the drum patterns) it only affects channel 1/2, the kick. This all works great, I have a separate track in Cubase for each drum and mic and can mix them and add inserts independently.īut. I’ve dragged out a midi pattern from SD3 into the midi track in Cubase, I can then open it drum editor and change anything I need to.
I set each drum in SD3 to it’s own channel, so Kicks 1/2 Snare 3/4 etc then activate each output. I have Superior Drummer 3 as a rack instrument with a midi track in the arrange window.

When I installed toontrack superior drummer 2.0, I was confused/overwhelmed during the install process and by all the paths /choices etc offered. Note - I have 2 hard drives on my Toshiba Qosmio x500 (windows 7 ), with pro tools installed in the C drive. , and how do I create a path to that prefered location during toontack installation ? , I cant see these anywhere in superior Drummer (when opened in pro tools ) and once I do locate tem I need to Authorise them after opening them up ?Įxactly, where are they are meant to be installed (ie prefered location for operation with Protools). PRESET PACKS ( purchased from Toontrack). MIDI PACKS (extra midi expansion Packs purchased from Toontrack), and SOUND LIBRARYS ( for my various Toontrack SDX Expansion Librarys ) MIDI FILES (from Toontrack SDX Expansion Packs) , , I dont know where all my files were sent to for My Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.3, is currently working in Protools 10.3.3, ( IE when I open a stereo instrument track in pro tools. , so that Superior drummer can load them up when fired up in Pro Tools ?
Where Exactly - Do I install all my toontrack sound librarys, and midi files to on my PC ?. I have installed Toontrack superior drummer 2.0 + update to SD 2.3 into pro tool 10 (updated to 10.3.3) and im using a MBox 3 Pro, on Windows 7. Hi There, Im a newbie and need some assistance.
